Drying Oven
Used to dry Gypsum cubes prior to
putting them into Desiccator. Also used for drying sand.
Temperature must be held at 115 degrees for Gypsum cubes and 230 degrees
for Sand.

Desiccator
Used for curing Cubes of Gypsum in a Controlled Environment after the drying
process in the oven |
|
 |

Vicat Apparatus
This is used to determine the volume of water for mixing Gypsum. |
Triple beam measuring scale. |
|
 |
 |
| The electronic scale is used to weigh the sand samples
and gypsum cubes to within one tenth of a gram |
The electronic timers are used in timing the tests performed |

Brass mold used to make Gypsum cubes
in the field for compression testing. Below the mold, are the cubes
to be tested. In the compression tester. The brass mold used to make gypsum
cubes in the field for compression. Below the mold are actual cubes to be
tested. |
Measuring and mixing beaker, for the sand prior to the dying oven.
These measuring and mixing beakers aid in the testing procedure for sand
sieve test. |
|
 |
 |
|
Compression Tester, is used to determine compressive strengths (PSI)
from samples taken from the job site. This test confirms meeting or
exceeding job specifications. |
Sand Sieve Shaker, this is used to measure the gradation and particle size
of the sand used in mixing with Gypsum. Ranging from a #4 sieve
largest particle size to a
# 100 sieve smallest particle size |
